Fluorescent Warning

Of course I've urged you to buy those convenient, inexpensive, energy-saving, long-living fluorescent lights. But I want to warn you that once your 5 year-old fluorescent light finally burns out, it must be disposed of carefully. These great bulbs run largely on mercury so call yur local garbage service to find out the best way to toss the bulbs. Many cities and states lawfully forbid just trashing anything with mercury, plus its just a bad idea, so double-check to see where to bring your fluorescent bulb.
